OH: (drunk girl to a stranger’s dog): “You’re clearly noble and awesome.”
Just got back from a great dinner with some smart people
Picasa’s red-eye detection/correction simply rocks. After trying/giving up iPhoto twice, I’m quite impressed with Picasa on the whole.

Calling Anthem for insurance quote. Tried 2 bad #s listed on their site, finally a working one, got transferred to CA office, now on hold
Today I learned that you can’t just call and get info on group insurance - they call you back in between 1-7 days, depending on the company
Congrats to Collective Intellect http://bit.ly/314m (via @drawohara)
Most recently, I’ve filled up my HDs w clones of many OSS projects for testing Devver, VirtualBox images, and a huge TimeMachine backup
Every time I get a new hard drive, I always think, “I’ll never use up all that space” … undoubtedly, within six months, I’m proven wrong

Dell’s site suck sooooooo badly. It’s timed out 4 times for me today … right now while I’m trying to submit my order.
Sweet! iPhone 3.0 will have tethering (good find, @danmayer) http://is.gd/pLAz
Just mailed in my taxes. It’s nice to have that done.
I’m trying to order a computer on Dell’s website. It’s randomly not responding for minutes at a time. I might have to give up and try later.
Microsoft support is comically bad
The other day I tried to install a copy of Windows XP. I had bought a copy (no, not the recovery disk that came with my computer, but a separate shrink-wrapped copy) years ago. It was installed on my old computer but I had gotten rid of that computer last time I moved and wanted to try it on a newer one. The install worked great until it was time to enter the product key. It said it was invalid. I...
Andrew Lee (JamLegend.com) just sent me this old pic of us & the legendary Green House. Ah the memories … http://twitpic.com/2l7n5
Batman: Arkham Asylum looks so awesome … unfortunately, I don’t own an Xbox or PS3 to play it on http://is.gd/pjua

Need to uninstall a Rubygem that’s been installed in your home dir? Try this: gem uninstall <gemname> -i ~/.gem/ruby/1.8 http://is.gd/py4X

How to uninstall Rubygems that are installed in...
With RubyGems (version 1.3.1 as of this writing), if you don’t have root access on a system, you can install gems to your home directory (the gems live in ~/.gem)
In fact, if you just do:
gem install <gemname>
it will install it to your ~/.gem directory by default. This actually confused me at first, because older versions of Rubygems would try to install to the system-wide gems dir...
I won’t miss newspapers, but I will miss WIRED … and it seems to be getting thinner every month http://is.gd/miJp

It seems like Old Media is slowly ruining Hulu http://tinyurl.com/c2emtv
Went to sleep: no snow. Woke up: holy crap, that’s a lot of snow. Glad I’m working from home.
http://twitpic.com/2gw5y - The snow on this car was just about perfect
http://twitpic.com/2gw58 - Shin-deep in snow
http://twitpic.com/2gwax - The snow on the hood looks so cool
Going to take a walk in the snow here in Boulder (AKA the planet Hoth)
Hulu is rolling backwards
More and more old episodes seem to being removed from Hulu. It used to be that for many shows, you could find all the old episodes, but recently its seemed that you can only find some from the current season. For instance, as of this writing, you can currently only watch five episodes of The Office.
I’m not privy to the inner workings of Hulu, but from the outside it seems like the Old...
I’ve heard so many good things about Battlestar Galactica and now I’m finally watching it (just finishing the miniseries now). I’m excited.

lazyweb: We may need some fairly peaceful office space for 3 people for 4-5 days in Boulder. One big room is fine. Suggestions?
Back and rested from my trip. Now to dig myself out from my mountain of emails and TODOs …
F you Apple! Rebooting my iPhone locked it - unlocking required my laptop and internet, making it useless since I was traveling. Not cool!
Remember - TechStars applications are due this Saturday! It’s an amazing opportunity and filling out the app is good for your biz regardless
After months of not playing, @danmayer and I finally found a 3rd person to play Puerto Pico http://is.gd/g4ZB with us. Its such a good game
Just found out IMDB has a Parents guide for each movie, making it easy to determine which movies are safe to watch in airports/on airplanes
I’ll be out of the country March 12-23. I’ll have access to email but please don’t call me since I get charged $2 even if I don’t pick up.
Just got my popcorn that I ordered on @foodzie. The customer service was above and beyond.
On hold with my health care provider, being forced to listen to a crappy Muzak version of Shania Twain’s “Still the One”. This is hell.
Any recommendations for travel health insurance?
Thanks to the magic of VirtualBox, I just played a little Half-Life (1) LAN deathmatch on my Macbook Pro
You know, I seem to remember a time (way back when) when I got to write more code than email. Sigh.
Just saw @vikasreddy’s Awkward Rules presentation at @igniteboulder. It’s really hilarious. http://is.gd/mD7T
If you need to rip some DVDs (say, because you want something to watch on the plane), you really can’t beat http://handbrake.fr/
