Staying at my bros place in ATL. It’s been awhile since I slept somewhere with a view of a city right out my window. I miss that.

Our hotel rents video games in the rooms. That’s cool. But they are for the N64. Uh…

We did manage to get a cab to take us through the drive-through of the Reno In-N-Out Burger on the way to the hotel. So worth it.

A $50 hotel room in a Reno casino is just about as nice as you’d expect it to be.

Heading to Reno tomorrow for a meeting. I hope I see Deputy Travis Junior while I’m there.

If you’re ever in Denver, do yourself a favor and visit Illegal Grounds coffee shop. It’s got an awesome atmosphere (it’s an old house)

Drinking green tea from a little pellet that “blooms” into a flower. Maybe I’m behind the curve, but this is totally new to me.

The Oscar pool I got roped into gives x points for each correct pick, so the best strategy is to pick the most likely winners …
Feb 22nd
…next year, they could negate unfair(?) use of prediction markets by giving more points for picking less likely winners (i.e. be a market)
Feb 22nd
Plus, frankly, I’m more intrigued with the predictive powers of markets than who wins the Oscars. My nerdy side wins again.
Feb 22nd
Is this cheating? I never got around to seeing most Oscar picks this year, so it’s either this or picking somewhat randomly.
Feb 22nd
Last year, I picked my Oscar winners based on a statistical model. This year, I’m seeing if prediction markets fare any better

Just realized the 918 area codes are bad news. It turns out it’s quite easy to accidentally dial 911 on accident.

Also,it doesn’t help that this DMV is the centerpiece in the most soul-crushingly sad mall in CO.
Feb 19th
The DMV is a hell hole. This is the place where anything approaching productivity goes to die.
Feb 19th
After 2 hours, I’m finally done. I will say all the DMV employees were incredibly nice to me.
Feb 19th
After I waited for 1.5 hours to get a license, they’ve messed up my name and had to redo it. Twice. Oh, DMV. Like the post office but worse

Twitter auto URL-shortening is useless. If URL is short enough to fit, I want real URL to show. If its too long I have to shorten it myself!

Why would Apple sell a gift card that could be used at the Apple Store but not the iTunes store? That just seems confusing and anti-customer

After putting it off for 2 months, filing all my documents took a grand total of only one hour. Procrastination is so dumb.

You can tell how long I’ve been coding by the number of terminals I’ve got open. Currently 30+ between my windows and tabs.
